This is only about 25% of what I had to work with. So first I scattered them about to see what I had to work with.

How friggin cute is that little salt n' pepper shaker with the feather? Don't crush my dreams and tell me its something else.

I decided I wanted to lay them out by color and do a little gradiant/ombre thing. I thought about doing something like this with white space around them but I decided against it because I just wanted to use as many stamps as humanly possible.

And fin! Glorious. It looks awesome on my wall. I went back to scrap to buy more stamps and sadly they were fin as well. I'm sure you can find them other places like ebay or garage sales or your cousin who is a horder house.

Last week I shipped out these wedding invitations for my lovely client Sara.

I am so totally in love with them. We matched the ink to the envelope (which I didn't photograph for some reason).  We wanted a minimal invitation so we went more fun on the RSVP. I'm thrilled with the result but more important, so is Sara.

Bling me up before you go go.

I'm pale. But not so pale that I'm blue. I'm fair but I'm not pink. I'm this weird yellowish pale that only gets tan on my stomach.  I have freckles and dark hair. Why am I telling you this? Welp because if you are like me then you will know that wearing these pants out in public will cause you to look like you are butt naked. In my fantasy world I can wear pale skinny jeans and still look skinny and not at all naked. In the real world I would look like a naked dough ball.

I've been busy, sick, sick of being busy, tired, anxious, restless, overwhelmed and ok. That doesn't excuse not blogging but it kind of does. This one woman show I have going on over here keeps me really busy. I've decided to bring on a fashion contributor to help with the flow. I love fashion blogging as much as I enjoy reading fashion blogs. I don't get to do that much anymore. I'm still finding a balance between working 12 hour days and trying to not do that. For right now I can't always help it. And that means that blogging comes last. That is stupid because its what got me here in the first place.

Next week you will meet our new contributor (read: only contributor) and she will dazzle you with her excellent taste and regularly scheduled posts. Right now I have to go pack up boxes of wedding invitations and drink some tea and maybe try to rest my bones.

That awesome orchid is in my home livin it up right now. I'm going to tell you all about that next week.

I made the official month mark on the 16th. Lessons learned:

1. Sitting alone all day is very lonely

2. I need to buy more music so I don't get ants in my pants about sitting all day.

3. Parking should be a competitive sport.

4. I've always trusted myself to budge time well and get things done. What I don't trust myself to do is take time to step away from projects so that I don't become a cross eyed design troll.

5. I need to not be so hard on myself.

I am so critical of myself and my work. I can let it ruin my entire day if something isn't working the way I want it to. I feel very small and isolated and wonder why I'm not working at some start up that is making bank selling itself for a billion dollars. I take a step back and remember that I am my own little start up. I've built this tiny business that started in my bedroom from major blog lust that now pays my bills. 

One day, I will really feel that no matter what, everything will be ok.

This picture was taken last week when we were in Santa Cruz for a bike race. I love Swanton Farms. Its all about the olallieberry jam!

I'm never the girl who looks like she planned her outfit. At least that is how I see myself. This coupled with the fact that I could wear skinny jeans, grey shirts, J.Crew flats and a sweater every day of my life makes for some interesting costume decisions. I'm either 100% dressed up party time girl or wandering design gremlin of the mission art cave. This looks 100% put together but not at all trying crazy hard. Those pants are something I could see Blanche Devereaux in. And that is a very good thing.

I'm so in love with these cards I just made for my client Missy.

I want to marry these cards. We did a metallic silver foil on both sides. On the back side just her name is in the foil. It is crisp, clean and glam all at the same time. Now excuse me while I go makeout with them.

I'm all about how the earthy meets hip meets bright/makes out with nature in this wedding package. How cute are these guys?

This was a very special, labor intensive project. The envelopes are each lined with a wood grain paper. I cannot stress how difficult this is but the result is totally dreamy.

I have a major crush on Alice & Olivia, mostly just because I want to be the girl who can wear this everyday and not feel like a jerk.

This look is like an anti-depressant. When I was 5ish my grandma gave me a penny to toss into a fountain at the Redondo Beach Galleria. She said I turned around, closed my eyes and said " I wish I was PINK!". I'm sure she was totally surprised by my goth phase in high school.

Hey, did you know that I can't get enough of chevron stripes? I'm glad my clients swing that way too.

We lined the envelopes with a chevron liner that I made. I found these totally cute gift bags and we turned them into little "rice" (its illegal to toss rice at weddings so please fill with something that won't kill your local bird population) holders to toss at the ceremony. It is modern, fun and still clean and chic. I think it is important to have a bit of fun in your invitations. After all, you do want you guests to know that you are having one hell of a party after the ceremony.

If you have eyes you are probably totally head over heels in love with this Louis Vuitton. But if you are a working stiff now without a steady paycheck (i.e. ME)  you probs can't afford it. Even if you do celebrate every other Friday you probably can't afford it. But hey, if we put our heads together we can figure something out.
